This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for February 01, 2008:
The 2008 presidential elections...I've been volunteering on the Obama campaign because I have a great deal of hope that he is the best person to lead our country. But I also have great respect for Hilary Rodham Clinton so if Obama does not get the nomination, I will be happy to have our first female nominee. I think the U.S. is primed for change. At this point in our history we can make a big difference if we all work together to aid the poor in our country, to start fixing the environmental mess, and to improve the futures of our children. Obama has been on my mind, I believe he will be the catalyst for important change.

Hi Jen…i am noticing your crazy US politics is on the change…Obama and Clinton….women fer chrissake….and nonwhitey!!!!!…well we had Thatcher but she was a man and I think you guys tend to bandwagon issues very sexilly….a far cry from Parliament…zzzzzzzzzzz..
Good for you, getting on the Obama express….I agree that he seems like the best of the bunch this time around…I would vote for him….J x
Thanks Jon! Yeah, it is crazy isn't it? I do hope that in this election I will actually have the opportunity to vote FOR someone, as opposed to voting AGAINST someone else. It's nice to actually have some faith in a candidate for a change!
Yes, I'm sure if given a chance that Obama will bring about great positive changes for all of us.
